Craft Hope Project 12 - Bracelets
Have you heard about Craft Hope? It's a project to bring crafters together to make items for those less fortunate. Project 12: Orphan Outreach is going on right now. The project is making bracelets for orphans in Russia. Something small to bring a smile to a child's face. Any kind of bracelet will do. The ages of the children that these bracelets will go to are 4-18. The deadline to have them sent in is June 15th, 2011. Here is the address:

Company Overview:
Craft Hope is a love inspired project designed to share handmade crafts with those less fortunate. It is our hope to combine our love for crafting and desire to help others into a project to make a difference around the world.
Craft Hope is run by Jade Sims from her home in the hill country just outside of Austin, Texas. While juggling three kids and a laptop, we are changing lives!

I am going with simple and quick in hopes of making a bunch of these. I'm getting my kiddos involved with the bead bracelets. Threading pony beads onto stretchy cord. Quick and Easy. I'm also going to go back in time to junior high and make some Friendship Bracelets for the older ones.

marc atc swap

thae theme was green/ irish and here is what i came up with





the background is glossy paper with tim holtz alchol inks , the bottom corner is goldleaf and the little eyelets are supposed to represent digging for pots of gold x

where is my mojo ???

hiya  , i have lost my mojo and i have not crafted all week :(  i have been clearing out my craft room i know my mojo is in here somewhere and i will find it ! until then i will share with you 2 projects i completed last month one was an atc challenge and the other was a 4x4 mini swap .

ok so the atc challenge was over at cardz n scrapz , check them out over there they have some crafty and friendly mimbers on the forum and a great online shop for all your crafty goodness .this months host was wendy  who set the theme as green / irish in the spirit of paddy's day , hee is what i came up with ...

the base of the card is glossy card and i inked it with tim holtz alcoholinkd , the corner foil is embossed in the cuttlebug , the little "shamrock " is a flower brad that i adjusted to make into a shamrock shape ? and i added the brads to look like digging for the pot of gold ?

the second challenge s the mini hosted by aideen you can go here to see all the other awsome pages that made up the book , these girls are very creative and i love all the pages sooo much it is hard to pick a favourite .
mine is all pink cream and green and it is my first mini page and i loved doing it so much i am hooked and hope to host my own mini swap here soon x

altered frame x

hiya , yay look at me with 199 followers , I am so grateful to all of you for following me and for commenting and returning to see my crafty creations, I love visitng all your blogs too for inspiration and just for a good aul nosey ...lol



now here is a really ugly damaged 1 euro frame that was destined for the bin , but I could see some potential in it and I decided to save it from the landfill and give it some lovin x  sorry I was too excited about this project and have no BEFORE pics:(

first off I lightly sanded the frame to give it a "key" then I added anitas's tacky glue all over the front of the frame and lay i onto a 12x12 piece of paper so the fancy side was facing the table (believe me I have done this the wrong way round before !) then I let it dry before attacking it with my craft knife and cut around the wavy edge and into all those little fineky frames , now I was not neat at this at all but that is the look I was going for !:)

so I attacked it again but with sandpaper this time and roughed it up a bit , next came the tim holts brushed corduroy ink pad and I  lightly went over all my rough edges to make them POP  .then I just went to town and added the handmade paper flowers , I just adore the tiny map ones in the botton corner

...tooooo cute and simple too .when all my embellies were on I got some gold glitter on my finger and just rubbed it around randomly touching on the flowers too for some sparkle

and hey presto , a unique altered aged vintagy frame for my beautiful niece Hannah x

2nd post of the day !

hiya , yes here I am again , here is a cute little pen and photo holder I made today for a challenge over at  The Tattered Ttag   ,and me n my thrifty ideas this challenge is  great fun . they tell you the 3 items to use and you can make anything you want out of them,go over and try it out you know you want to ???
this week the items are 
toilet roll holdrs
pegs
twine

so i covered the  toilet rolls in twine ,wrapped around and and around and used my glue gun , shaped them sort of like egg shape (cause it is nearly easter !!!) then i inked up my pegs for a bit of contrast and glued them upside down onto each toilet roll . i made little flowers from the toilet roll holders too and voila a pen and photo holder x
this is a boo hoo attempt!!!!!! and i will tell you why when i come back in about half an hour ... arrgghhhhhhhh

Brag Book !

hi all , well it has been a week since my last post and finally i am back at my desk and more importantly back at my crafts ,firstly i have to say THANK YOU to all my new followers wow it has been great meeting you all and seeing all your creations , i hope you continue to come and visit me as i will be visiting you all too , to share my crafts and to get inspired by yours . here is a few photsos of my latest creation , an altered photo album it is for me but i am in the process of making 2 for emilys great grand mothers and 1 for her beautiful mammy (nicole) x i started off with a cheapo album that are from the euro shop they were 5 for a euro !!! now that is cheapo right ?? dont think it looks cheap now though ?? please let me know what you think as you know i love to read all your lovely comments and i do reply to all of them via email x thanks for stopping by and if you can stop by tomorrow please do as i have an altered frame to share with you all x

now the brag book did not start off as much to brag about believe me .......
i dont have a before picture but believe me it was ugly sort of see through blue plastic  ughhhh '

 and a close up of the front corners these little pins i made myself using ordinary sewing pins and adding some beads and charms x

the other corner has a gorgeous little lace flower i made myself too and will post a tutorial if anyone is interested , i added some chain and some beads to the centre too x

and that girls is my brag book,just to fill it with photos and pull it out of my bag at the mere mention of my gorgeous grandchild (and even when she is not mentioned too ..lol)
